Hi everyone,

I hope this post finds you well.
After driving a Subaru Forester and CrossTrek for 11 years, purchasing the 2026 Palisade Calligraphy has been an exciting upgrade.
However, I am new to this forum and want to share an issue with the 2026 Palisade Calligraphy, in case you are considering getting one.
It is crucial to test the auto-folding function for the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats before you drive off from the dealership lot.
In my case, the 3rd-row left headrest did not fold down properly, preventing the seat from lying flat, and the trunk switch malfunctions. It led to the left-side seats, including the 2nd row, getting jammed, which can be pretty inconvenient and something you would want to avoid.
Upon reporting the issue, I had to leave the vehicle at the service department. They are currently investigating whether it is a mechanical problem or a seat-programming issue, given that the model is so new. They might even need to replace the entire seat.
While it is not ideal to feel like a beta tester for a brand-new Palisade Calligraphy, I am optimistic that this will be the first and the last issue I encounter.
I am sharing this experience with you all to help you avoid the issue.

Best regards,

BK

Hi, I just came across this problem today, encountered your post and then found a solution (see it at the end).

My case is pretty much the same as yours: Tried to fold the 3rd row back seat, head rest didn't fold, 3rd row seat got stuck unable to go all the way about 95% done and wouldn't respond anymore.

The way it behaves in which all three other seats were still working but just not that one and it wouldn't respond to any command made me wonder if this couldn't be a programming problem as you suggested. Looking at the seats in the infotainment showed that the vehicle thought the seat was still up.

If this is a controller problem, resetting it should do the trick, and it did.

Looking online for a fuse mapping I found this site ( https://www.autouserguide.com/hyundai/2026-hyundai-palisade-fuses-and-fuse-box-user-guide/ ) which has the mapping and unplugging the "MODULE 7" (leftmost column, second row) from the Instrument Panel Fuse Panel, waiting about 30 seconds and plugging it back in did the trick!

I hope this helps other folks out there!
