Can anyone confirm the official Hyundai Palisade hitch? On the www.hyundaishop.com website they show this:
But it's stated that the image is a representation. Then I saw this on the www.kiatelluride.org site:
I dont like the exposed crossbar look. I've also looked for aftermarket options and was unsuccessful. Are we all or for those who plan on towing stuck with the exposed crossbar.

I plan on using a motorcycle carrier and the StealthHitches option only has a 350lbs tounge weight rating

The one showing is the Hyundai solution, and is exposed. I understand the comment on the Stealth solution, but so far the only hidden one I've seen. Hopefully other makers will come to market quickly. I will note, from what I've read a loaded motorcycle carrier could be pushing tong weight unless it is for a scooter etc. Good luck

You're probably right about the tounge weight limit. The bike and carrier weight is pushing about 490lbs. May have to add a set of helper airbags for the rear springs

I believe right now we only have two options, the stealth hitch and OEM. Personally I think the OEM is so ugly compared to the Telluride.

Yes that’s correct on my research as well. Only stealth and OEM at the moment, waiting for curt/etrailer to come out with one that’s rated for 500 tongue weight. I am running about 390 tongue weight with a Andersen weight distribution hitch

Maybe Hyundai or an aftermarket could come up with a replacement rear valance that has the appropriate cutout so we can use the kia hitch.

Etrailer has the Curt now, and it’s only $188. The Stealth is nice and all, but I’d rather not sell a kidney to buy a hitch.

Could not find anyone to just install a hitch (my kids don't live close !). Had to go to U-Haul. They have the Curt for $204, install for $64. Not many U-Haul places will let you wait while they do the job these days either. Primary need is for my bike carrier, if I ever need wiring will do myself.

Installed this afternoon at U-Haul in Apopka, Florida. Made a reservation, installation started on time, completed in 45 minutes. Car was cleaned for virus concerns and returned spotless. Now if it ever cools below 98 degrees, we can hit the bike trails again !

Curt now makes a hitch that is essentially hidden similar to the Telluride. Only the receiver is below the bumper. 5000# rating with 750# tongue weight rating. Part #C13427

I have the Curt hitch! Looks great! Like it was from the factory! U-Haul put it on with wiring. total was around $300

Just installed the $205 UHaul version. Checked the 4-Flat wire at UHaul when I picked up the hitch and ball yesterday. Ends up at about 18" for common utility trailers they rent. Will use mostly for cargo rack to the landfill. I consider the exposed 2" reciever as a exhaust tip drag protector 😜.
BTW, hitch is 5000#/750# tongue without Weight Distribution hitch, 6000#/750# with Weight Distribution. The 5.5" rise hitch is 7000#/750# rated. Pretty sure I'll not be getting anywhere near that on island. 🤓
