Has anyone installed a trailer brake controller for electric brakes in their palisade? Where did you mount it? Can you show any pictures?

I misunderstood their "factory installed" towing package. The wiring is factory instal led, the towing and braking system are after market and not as attractive as the Kia. After all my conversations about camping trailer, they installed a boat trailer system and I insisted they pay for 7 pin and braking.

This was done on the Telluride, would expect the install to be similar to the Palisade
Nice job. Question. Rather than connecting to the brake power at the switch under the dash could this be done at the brake switch fuse using a fuse tap ?

It's an unsightly after market installation. I should have cancelled the purchase

not even close to the nice job on the Telluride. After bragging about towing power, they are not prepared to add the hitch.

I use a "Echo" by Curt brake controller. It is bluetooth adapted to your smart phone. Install an app on the the and you can access your controller to make brake adjustment to the trailer. Plug into the 7pin and the trailer plug is inserted into the controller.

I bought the wiring harness from Hyundai (S8F67 AC700) and it has a pigtail to connect brake controller . One end is bare wires to connect to controller and the other end has a 4 flat male connector to connect to my 2024 Palisade . I understand that there is a female connection somewhere under the dash . I can't find that . Does anyone know where it is ? If so are there any pictures or videos to show that.

It's directly under the fuse block. tucked up against the bottom of it. When I installed my controller I didn't even have to untuck it, you can feel it without removing any interior panels.

Thanks I persisted and finally found it!

Do the bare wires attach to the fuse box? I am being told by the dealership that they attach to an aftermarket e-brake controller. Is the Palisade already equipped with a controller?

If you're talking about the pigtail that comes with the wiring harness they connect to the wires from an aftermarket controller. The Palisade does not have a built in controller.

Your Palisade has been prewired for trailer lights and brake controller. The connector plug is under dash above your left foot. You still have to purchase the trailer wiring harness(part # H S8F67 AC700) A trailer brake pigtail with connector comes with the harness. It plugs into connector plug under dash and then has 4 bare wires to connect to whatever brake controller you have. I installed a trailer hitch and used the wiring harness for the lights (7 pin). I didnt use the trailer brake pigtail as I dont have trailer brakes.
