Hi all! I just purchased a new white Palisade 2 weeks ago and was wondering if these rectangular panels are normal and you have them on your vehicle as well. They seem like an after thought and look like they could collect dirt between the seams based on where they are located.

Thanks!

Usually a protective layer for things kicked up along the side of the car.

Yes, that's what they are. They are intentionally placed there to prevent stones and pebbles thrown by the front tires from damaging the paint, since that area is at an angle, where those stones are most likely to hit the car.
