We've had our Palisade about three months and there is not much positive I can say about our experience so far and a lot of negatives. I'm curious if it's just us being too particular and critical or if others have had similar experiences. I do like the look, feel, ride and comfort but the technology is driving me nuts. Here are a few examples in no particular order:
1. We have about 5000 miles on it and we have yet to go over 26 mpg. That is driving in Eco the whole time and probably 70/30 highway/city miles.
2. The lane/driving assist has almost put me in the ditch three times when I've tested it out to see how and if it worked. It has happened during a mild turn on the highway and when changing lanes to the right and to the left. I discovered that if you put your blinker on while in that mode the vehicle will automatically change lanes. I let it do its thing (still holding lightly on the wheel) and it doesn't stop and continues across white line onto the shoulder. I notice thelittle steering wheel had turned to gray during the lane change.
3. When going through a gentle curve near an exit with traffic barrels, the car brakes thinking I am going to hit the barrels I guess.
4. One night, I pulled out of a parking lot and the vehicle would not go over 20 mph...like it had a governor on it to keep you from speeding. I pressed just a little harder on the pedal and it took off reaching a high speed way more than the amount I had pushed on the pedal...like I had floored it. The dash shows a speedometer with limit 20mph and the drive power distribution diagram grayed out. Had to pull over, turn off car and then it worked right.
5. Can't always put it into reverse. Dash display says "gear already selected"...no...I'm in park trying to move it to reverse.
6. Unlocked vehicle, entered, started vehicle put in drive...mirrors still retracted.
