I just bought a new 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid (Caligraphy). I have now had 6 occurrences, all in the first 450 miles , (see description of various problems). When I was at a stop, or not moving at a light, and when making a left hand turn, I pushed on the gas pedal, and nothing happened at all. In some cases the gas pedal went to the floor, and the car barely edged forward. This symptom has happened 4 times. Also 1 time I as making a right hand turn, and the acceleration was delayed. Nothing happened the first time I pressed the pedal, then it acted like I had tromped on the gas pedal, and the car accelerated rapidly forward. Another time, with a right hand turn, I pushed the gas pedal, and nothing happened till I released and tried again. All very scary, especially the left hand turn at a stop light. The car was just barely rolling into the left turn, and I had to slam on the brakes to ensure that I would not role into oncoming traffic.
I have taken it to the dealer twice. The first time they had it for 2 days. The second time they had it for 9 days. They have not been able to reproduce it themselves. I did get lucky and was able to produce the issue with a technician in the vehicle, but they really couldn't observe the problem other than me saying it just happened. They have found no codes, and Hyundai does not seem to have any information on this problem, even though I saw a few comments from owners who seem to have experienced the same problem. One user said that in their case, they had the problem, and they had to replace a wiring harness.
So for now there seems to be no resolution.
Looking for any others who might have experienced these issues with delayed acceleration, and how they might have solved the issue, or what their current status is.
