2022 Palisade Caligraphy

Out 2022 Hyundai Palisade Caligraphy with 79,000 miles began giving us trouble. Wipers quit working, climate system won't shut off, auto lights quit working, rear liftgate quit working, key fob won't lock car. Finally took it to the dealer. It was there 4 weeks while we paid for a rental car. Ultimately they found the problems originated with rust in the wiring harness. It cost $4000 to repair. I am at a loss to understand how an automobile that new could have a rusted wiring harness. Or at any age. We came to Hyundai from years with Acura automobiles. I was excited at the technology and features on the Palisade for the money. Some $10-15,000 cheaper than a comparable Acura or Lexus. I'm used to spending no money on automobiles other than routine maintenance, even for basic Honda's or Toyota's. But the idea of having this kind of catastrophic expense is beyond me on something as basic as a rusted wiring harness. The dealer made no attempt to cover any of the costs, no matter how loud I objected. I'm stuck with this car for now. But it certainly took the luster off of driving this car. It's the last Hyundai product I own.
